MILLERSVILLE - Redshirt junior Shane Mallory's 8-3 decision at 197 pounds was his 50th career victory and wrapped up East Stroudsburg University's 27-9 wrestling dual win at Millersville on Wednesday night.
Mallory was one of six Warriors to win their bouts with the Marauders, and ESU also picked up a forfeit at heavyweight at the end of the night.
Redshirt senior Matt Swallow (133) and sophomore Matthew Rizzo (141) both posted major decisions after Millersville opened the match with a 4-3 decision at 125 pounds. Redshirt senior Scott Heckman had an 8-5 decision over Mike Greck at 149 to build the ESU advantage to 11-3 before Millersville won the next two bouts, both by decision, to narrow the gap to 11-9.
Redshirt sophomore Jeff Jacobs reestablished the Warriors' control of the match with a 9-3 decision at 174 and sophomore Ed Ebewo recorded an 11-3 major decision to seal the win for ESU.
Mallory improved to 16-6 and 11-3 in duals with his win and joined Swallow as Warriors who have reached the 50-win plateau this year.
