EAST STROUDSBURG - Redshirt junior Shane Mallory's major decision at 197 pounds was the Warriors' only win of the night on the mat as EIWA foe Bucknell knocked off East Stroudsburg University, 33-10, in dual action on Friday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Mallory posted an 18-7 major decision over Nathan Jones in the final bout that was contested to improve to 17-8 on the year.
Junior heavyweight Chris Birchler received a forfeit that moved his season record to 19-4. Birchler entered the WrestlingReport NCAA Division I rankings at No. 33 earlier this week.
The Bison rolled up two pins and three major decisions on their way to the victory. No. 13-ranked Andy Rendos pinned redshirt freshman Thad Frick in 1:47 after the first takedown of their match-up at 165. Adam Healey (141) also scored a first-period pin for Bucknell.
The match of the night was the 149-pound bout between ESU redshirt senior Scott Heckman (12-14) and Kevin LeValley (25-10), the reigning EIWA wrestler of the week. LeValley held a 1:01 advantage in riding time to send the match into overtime, and had a reversal, an escape and a takedown in the extra session for a 10-5 win.
Heckman, Matt Swallow and Kyle Heselpoth will be honored before ESU's matches with Wagner and Delaware State on Sunday. The Warriors' final duals of the season will begin at 1 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse.
