MECHANICSBURG - Junior Christine Swiker broke Natalie Weingartner's school record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:11.54 in the morning prelims to highlight Friday's action for East Stroudsburg University at the 2009 PSAC Swimming Championships.

Swiker took nearly two seconds off the five-year old record of 2:13.22 and finished fifth in the morning session, then came back with a time of 2:12.13 - still more than a second faster than the previous record - to finish seventh in the finals on Friday night. She also holds the school record in the 400 IM and will compete in the event on Saturday.

The 200 free relay team of sophomores Sarah Roscioli and Amy Rowland, junior Heather Van O'Linda and senior Sally Kaminski also swam well for the Warriors, posting a season-best time of 1:40.83 to win the consolation final by seven-hundredths of a second over Lock Haven. The squad had a qualifying time of 1:41.59 in the prelims.

Kaminski and Roscioli competed in the trials of the 50 free and both turned in their best times of the year. Kaminski clocked a time of 25.11 and Roscioli finished in 25.18.
