NEW CASTLE, Del. - East Stroudsburg University had 13 players score goals, including four players who found the net for the first time in their career, in a 22-7 win at Wilmington in non-conference women's lacrosse on Monday afternoon.
Sophomores Christina Mongiori and Molly O'Hara both scored three goals to lead the attack and five others - Laurin Albie, Brittany Bissell, Jocelyn Gebhardt, Michelle Mangiaruga and Laura Riegel - scored two goals each.
Riegel and fellow freshmen Molly McLenigan and Maure Perrymond all scored the first goals of their careers at ESU. Bissell, a sophomore defender in her second year as a starter, scored her first two career goals for the Warriors.
Jessica Curran, Sara Foley, Morgan Knowles and Lindsay Moyer rounded out ESU's scoring with a goal apiece.
Senior Kirstin Mayberry made eight saves in the first half and freshman Alexis Landau had three saves in the second half in goal for ESU, which improves to 2-3 on the season. Wilmington falls to 2-1.
ESU puts a 1-0 PSAC East record on the line on Wednesday in conference action at Millersville.
