KUTZTOWN - Sophomore
Christine Bradley had three goals and four assists and three other players recorded hat tricks to lead East Stroudsburg University to a 22-11 win at Kutztown in PSAC East lacrosse on Sunday afternoon.
Juniors Jocelyn Gebhardt and Lindsey Moyer and sophomore Jamie Wesztergom also scored three goals for the Warriors, and Wesztergom had team-highs with eight ground balls and six draw controls.
ESU (4-7, 3-3) jumped out to a 12-2 lead before Kutztown scored the final three goals of the first half. The Warriors stretched their advantage back to 10 midway through the second half and led comfortably throughout the final 45 minutes of the game.
Sophomores Morgan Knowles and Christina Mongiori and freshmen Jessica Curran and Molly McLenigan all had two goals on the afternoon and sophomore Molly O'Hara and freshman Kelsey Pfautz also found the net. Mongiori and Pfautz also added two assists.
The Warriors held a 68-29 advantage in shots and Kutztown goalkeeper Erin Myers made 28 saves. Senior Kirstin Mayberry (10 saves) and freshman Alexis Landau split time in goal for ESU, which hosts Millersville on Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
