EAST STROUDSBURG - The East Stroudsburg University women's tennis team improved to 7-4 on the season with a 9-0 victory over Cheyney on Thursday afternoon at Wolbers Courts.
The Warriors didn't drop a game in posting their second straight win, following a 6-3 victory at West Chester on Wednesday. Sophomores Katie D'Ambrosia and Jamie Ferrigno won at No. 1 doubles, senior Sarah Deisher and freshman Amanda Kaufman played at No. 2 and junior Marissa Tanner and freshman Angela Teri were paired at No. 3.
Kaufman improved to 5-2 at first singles and D'Ambrosia, Ferrigno, Deisher, Tanner and Teri completed the singles lineup for the Warriors.
ESU's women's team is off until next Saturday when it travels to Bloomsburg for a pair of duals. The Warriors men were scheduled to play at Bloomsburg on Friday, but the match has been rescheduled for Monday, April 12 due to impending inclement weather.
