LAFAYETTE HILL - Junior forward Lindsay Foder scored three goals for her first career hat trick and added an assist as the East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team won 5-0 at Chestnut Hill on Sunday afternoon.

Foder scored her first two goals in a four-minute span midway through the first half, picked up an assist in the first minute of the second half and scored again less than 10 minutes later.

She recorded the 21st hat trick in the 17-year history of the ESU women's soccer program and the first since Lynda Hicks scored the Warriors' first three goals in a 6-0 win at Concord on August 31 last season. Foder, an All-Region selection last year, has 14 career goals and 11 assists.

Freshman midfielder Marissa Spitler and sophomore forward Rebecca Porcaro both scored their second goals of the season in a three-minute stretch on either side of halftime. Spitler gave ESU a 3-0 lead with 1:27 left in the first half, and Foder found Porcaro 55 seconds into the second half to extend the margin.

Sophomore goalkeeper Melissa Myers played the first 70 minutes and had her first career shutout and freshman Kaitlyn Palkon saw her first career action in goal. Jessica Veazey made 12 saves for Chestnut Hill (1-1).

The Warriors improve to 2-1 on the season, with the loss a 2-1 overtime setback to No. 25 C.W. Post on Saturday, heading into the start of PSAC East action on Wednesday. ESU hosts Millersville at 5 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium followed by the men's game.
