Caitlin Brownley scored three goals, classmate
Jessica Frantz added two more and the East Stroudsburg University field hockey team improved to 6-1 with a 5-1 win over Limestone (S.C.) on Sunday afternoon.
Brownley scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, in the Warriors' 3-2 win over Kutztown on Saturday. She had both of ESU's first-half goals against Limestone and scored her third less than five minutes into the second half. Brownley has eight goals this season.
Frantz, a second team All-American last year at IUP, notched her second and third goals of the season and scored 24 seconds after Brownley found the cage for the third time. She scored again about six minutes later. Sarah Parker had Limestone's only goal with 5:01 remaining.
Junior midfielder Joanna Reckley had two assists, Frantz assisted on Brownley's final goal and junior back Kayla Cilenti and junior forward Brittany Kocis also had assists.
The Warriors held advantages of 34-3 in shots and 18-1 in penalty corners.
ESU head coach Sandy Miller picked up her 299th career win in 26 seasons and will have a chance for her 300th win on Wednesday when the Warriors travel to Mansfield for a 4 p.m. start in PSAC East action.
