MANSFIELD – Freshman Rose Mascoli placed third and senior Niki Pasquarella, sophomore Jonna Trexler and freshman Corinna Fitzgerald were all in the top seven as East Stroudsburg University beat defending PSAC champion Shippensburg to win the Mountaineer Invitational on Saturday at Mansfield.

Freshman Michael Pereira, sophomore Greg Laraia and junior Chris Zadroga had top-10 finishes for the Warriors men, who finished second out of six schools. The women's race was 4K and the men's competition was 6K over the new Lamb's Creek Course at Mansfield.

Freshman Bridget McCarron was 15th to complete the Warriors' top five and ESU edged Shippensburg, ranked fourth in the Division II rankings, 36-39 for the team championship.
