No. 3 Shippensburg Tops No. 7 ESU Field Hockey, 3-0

EAST STROUDSBURG - Kristina Taylor scored a pair of goals and No. 3 Shippensburg remained perfect in the 2009 field hockey season with a 3-0 win over No. 7 East Stroudsburg University on Wednesday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

Taylor scored the game's first goal 5:31 before halftime and Shippensburg (3-0) scored its final two goals in a two-minute span midway through the second half to put the game away. Kim Tully found the cage for the Raiders with 17:52 remaining and Taylor scored again 1:49 later.

Sophomore Maureen Ordnung made 10 saves on Shippensburg's 16 shots and has recorded at least 10 saves in all three of her starts this season. ESU had seven shots and forced Shippensburg goalkeeper Amanda Houser to make four saves. The Raiders held a 13-2 advantage in penalty corners.

ESU (2-1) travels to C.W. Post to open PSAC East action on Saturday at 1 p.m.
