BLOOMSBURG – Aime Sgarlat scored 2:52 into the second half to give No. 2 Bloomsburg a 2-1 lead, and the Huskies didn't allow a shot in the second half to hold off No. 3 East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East field hockey on Tuesday afternoon in central Pennsylvania.

ESU (9-2, 3-1) took an early 1-0 lead on the fourth goal of the season by junior forward Brittany Kocis 7:45 into the game.

The Huskies (8-1, 2-1) leveled the score when Breanne Tobin scored 19:43 into the contest on the rebound of a shot by their leading scorer, Amanda Riley. Neither team scored again before the half, and Sgarlat scored what proved to be the game-winner with 32 minutes remaining.

Bloomsburg held an 11-2 advantage in shots and 8-1 margin in penalty corners. Sophomore goalkeeper Maureen Ordnung made eight saves for the Warriors, while Caitlin Koczynski posted one save for the home team.

The loss ends the Warriors' seven-game winning streak which saw them rise to No. 3 in this week's NFHCA coaches poll. ESU is back in action on Sunday with a trip to Slippery Rock.
