Oliva, Foder Score Late Goals to Give Warriors Women's Soccer 3-2 Win at Millersville

MILLERSVILLE – Senior back Jessica Oliva and junior forward Lindsay Foder scored goals in the final seven minutes, including Foder's game-winner with 28 seconds left, as East Stroudsburg University came back to knock off Millersville 3-2 in PSAC East women's soccer on Wednesday.

Oliva tied the game at 2-2 with her first goal of the season on a header off a corner kick taken by sophomore midfielder Megan Keiser with 6:47 remaining, and Foder won the game for the Warriors in the final minute on an assist from junior forward Kailyn Buckley. ESU (7-4-1) levels its PSAC East record at 3-3-1 following its win to start the second half of conference play.

Foder also scored the game's first goal on an assist from sophomore midfielder Devon Miniscalco in the 16th minute. She recorded her second multi-goal game of the season and the third of her career.

Millersville came back to take a 2-1 halftime lead with goals by Allison Snyder in the 35th minute and Jenna Gould with just 1:21 left until the half, and led for the next 40 minutes until the Warriors finally broke through again.

ESU held a 14-1 advantage in shots in the second half after Millersville held a 12-8 lead in shots in the first 45 minutes. Senior goalkeeper Michelle Ginn made her second start of the season and had four saves, while Taylor Suskie made nine saves for the Marauders.

The Warriors host Lake Erie College in a non-conference match-up on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
