MANSFIELD - Freshman back Carly Collins scored her first career goal and the East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team improved to 2-0 in the PSAC East with a 3-1 win at Mansfield on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman midfielder Marissa Spitler scored her fifth goal of the season for the Warriors on a direct kick in the 20th minute and Collins gave ESU a 2-0 lead with five minutes left in the first half when she scored on a corner kick taken by sophomore forward Megan Keiser.

Mansfield (2-2, 0-2) got on the board early in the second half as Cortney Spertzel found the net 2:11 into the period and cut ESU's lead to 2-1. Sophomore midfielder Devon Miniscalco responded for the Warriors, scoring on an assist from freshman back Breanne Ingargiola in the 52nd minute, and ESU limited Mansfield to four shots, all in the second half.

ESU will take a 4-1 overall record into Sunday's game against Charleston (W.V.) at noon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
