SAINT LEO, Fla. - Kaitlin McKenna had 13 kills on 21 attacks and Saint Leo hit .337 as a team to take a three-set win over East Stroudsburg University in the first of the Warriors' three matches in Florida this weekend.
Setter Michelle Nogueras had eight kills, 28 assists and a team-high nine digs for the Lions (5-2), who won by scores of 25-9, 25-18 and 25-19.
Junior outside hitter Alyson Stark, last week's PSAC East Player of the Week, led ESU with 11 kills and eight digs and had a .259 attack percentage. Freshman setter Cassie Willman had 16 assists and junior libero Lindsey Lullo contributed seven digs. The Warriors opened the season with four wins last weekend before suffering their first loss of the year on Saturday.
ESU plays two matches on Sunday, facing No. 6-ranked Grand Valley State (Mich.) at noon and Eckerd (Fla.) at 7 p.m. as part of the Florida Southern/Eckerd Tournament this weekend.
