EAST STROUDSBURG – Janelle Garber and Megan Stewart scored 15 points each to pace a balanced scoring effort and lead West Chester to an 82-55 win at East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East women's basketball on Saturday afternoon.
Garber added seven rebounds and had three blocked shots and Stewart had four rebounds, five assists and six steals for the Golden Rams (14-5, 3-3). Allison Hostetter added 14 points and four steals and Dominique Adams had 11 points.

Alexa Detzi had eight points and seven rebounds, giving her at least eight points in five of the last six games.
West Chester opened the game on an 18-2 run in the first six minutes, which included a 12-0 spurt in 1:09 sparked by a three-pointer by Stewart. The Warriors scored the next six points to get back within 18-8 before the Golden Rams built their lead to 37-23 at halftime. Garber scored the first eight points of the second half for WCU for a 24-point lead that put the game out of reach.
ESU held its WBCA “Pink Zone” event on Saturday which included a check presentation by the ESU field hockey team to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and remarks by representatives by the Komen Foundation and the PA Breast Cancer Coalition.
The Warriors are back in action on Wednesday as they travel to Millersville to wrap up the first half of PSAC East action.
