MILLERSVILLE – Emily Woodland scored the game's only goal less than three minutes into the contest as No. 10 Millersville upset No. 1-ranked East Stroudsburg University, 1-0, in PSAC East field hockey on Saturday afternoon at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.
The Warriors (11-1, 3-1) were playing with the No. 1 ranking in Division II for the first time in school history and held a 26-8 advantage in shots, but Sara Dickinson came up with 11 saves for the Marauders.

Jessica Frantz with under 10 minutes remaining in the game as Millersville (7-7, 1-3) picked up its first conference win of the season.
Woodland capitalized on a penalty corner and scored her eighth goal of the season on an assist from Emily Manwiller. ESU led Division II with 13.4 penalty corners per game entering the week, but was unable to convert on a 14-2 margin in penalty corners on the afternoon.
The Warriors' school-record winning streak ends at 11 games. They host Slippery Rock in a non-conference game on Sunday at 12 p.m. at Whitenight Field.
