EAST STROUDSBURG – Junior Dalton Barton won at No. 5 singles and senior Jared Rosenberg and junior Andrew Makos teamed for a win at No. 2 doubles as USP defeated East Stroudsburg University, 7-2, in men's tennis on Sunday afternoon at Wolbers Courts.

Barton posted a 10-7 win over Roger Van Scyoc and the second doubles team won by a score of 8-5 as the Warriors played their only dual of the fall season.

USP (3-1) won third-set tiebreakers at No. 1 and No. 6 singles and picked up an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles to secure the winning points. Rosenberg played first singles for the first time in his career and fell 4-6, 6-2 (10-6) to David Kazekevich.

ESU will return to action next spring. Barton, Makos and Rosenberg all had two singles wins this fall between Sunday's dual, the PSAC Individual Championships and the Bloomsburg Invitational, and Barton and Makos advanced to the “B” doubles semifinals at Bloomsburg three weeks ago.
