BLOOMSBURG – Senior forward Brittany Kocis had a goal and two assists and sophomore forward Alyson Becker scored the go-ahead goal with just under 15 minutes left as East Stroudsburg University extended its winning streak to a school-record nine games with a 3-2 victory at Bloomsburg on Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors (9-0, 3-0), ranked No. 3 in Division II, fought off three late Bloomsburg penalty corners and junior goalkeeper Maureen Ordnung made two saves in the final 15 seconds to secure just the fifth win in school history over the Huskies, and the first since 2005.

Kocis is among the national leaders with nine assists, while Becker scored for the second straight game. Senior forward Jessica Frantz, the top scorer in Division II with 19 goals, didn't score for the first time this season.

ESU took a 2-0 lead on a pair of penalty corners in the first half, as Kocis knocked in a pass from senior midfielder Amanda McGuire 7:30 into the game and assisted on a blast by senior back Kayla Cilenti with about 11 minutes left in the opening period.

Bloomsburg (5-2, 1-1), No. 4 in the nation, pulled within 2-1 with five minutes remaining in the half on a goal by Amanda Deloy, and Amanda Riley tied the game at the 48:31 mark in the second half before Becker put the Warriors head to stay.

Ordnung had six saves, three in each half, as ESU was outshot 14-4 and out-cornered 11-5 by the Huskies, but it didn't matter as the Warriors scored on three of their four shots.

ESU had lost eight straight games in the series and was 4-37 against Bloomsburg entering the afternoon. The four-time defending national champions are now 5-2 on the season, falling 3-1 at Shippensburg last Saturday and picking up a 3-2 (2OT) win over Millersville its last time out.

The Warriors' 9-0 record is the longest winning streak and longest unbeaten start to a season in school history. They travel to Millersville to take on Limestone (S.C.) in a neutral site game on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. and are back at home next Saturday with a non-conference match-up with Mercyhurst at 1 p.m. at Whitenight Field.
