BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – No. 3 East Stroudsburg University continued its pursuit of a PSAC playoff and NCAA tournament berth with a 4-0 shutout at No. 7 C.W. Post in PSAC East field hockey on Wednesday afternoon on Long Island.

Jessica Frantz had a goal and an assist to increase her season total to 25 goals and seniors

Lauren Ventrella also scored goals for the Warriors (13-1, 4-1), who led 2-0 at halftime and scored twice in the final 10 minutes to seal the victory.
Frantz scored the game's first goal, her eighth game-winning goal of the season, with 6:02 left in the first half, on an assist from senior back

Ventrella found the cage with 2:16 on the clock on the 11th assist of the year from senior
Brittany Kocis. Ventrella scored for the second straight game and has three goals on the season.
The score remained 2-0 until under the eight-minute mark in the second half when Brownley scored her seventh goal of the season and the 37th of her career, assisted by senior
Joanna Reckley. Anderson finished the scoring with just under two minutes to play on Frantz's fifth assist of the year.
Senior goalkeeper
Maureen Ordnung made four saves for her second solo shutout this year and the seventh of her career. Cortney Colern made 11 saves for C.W. Post (8-6, 1-4) as ESU held a 27-8 advantage in shots and 12-3 margin penalty corners.
Frantz is just the second player in ESU history and 11th in PSAC history to score 25 goals in a season. She is four goals and five points from tying the school records of 29 goals and 59 points set by Ashley Kocis in 2006.
Brownley's 37 career goals are tied for fourth all-time at ESU, behind Kocis (59), Karen Moliver (46) and Frantz (39). Brownley was a first team All-America selection after scoring 19 goals last season.
ESU will take its 13-1 record to unbeaten and No. 1-ranked Shippensburg (12-0) for the first of two games between two of the top teams in Division II on Saturday at 1 p.m. Shippensburg is the No. 1 team in this week's NCAA Division II South Region rankings, followed by ESU at No. 2. The Raiders defeated Slippery Rock, 4-0, on Wednesday.
