EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior outside hitter
Alyson Stark moved into fifth in school history in career kills, but East Stroudsburg University fell to Shippensburg in three sets in PSAC East women's volleyball on Friday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Stark had 12 kills, giving her 990 for her career to pass Saunya Darr, who had 983 kills from 1994-97. She also had eight digs, one block and one ace and has 99 career aces. She can become the fifth ESU player to reach 1,000 career kills during Saturday's tri-match.
Stark hit .250 for the Warriors, but they hit just .031 as a team as Shippensburg (15-13, 6-9) won by scores of 25-17, 25-20 and 25-15. ESU won the first meeting at Shippensburg in five sets on Sept. 25.

Ashley Lesniak both had four kills.
ESU hosts Millersville and Stonehill in a tri-match on Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse to continue this weekend's “Think Pink” festivities. The Warriors have raised more than $2,000 to benefit the PA Breast Cancer Coalition so far this fall.
