EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior outside hitter Alyson Stark became the fifth player in school history to reach 1,000 career kills as East Stroudsburg University took on Millersville and Stonehill in a tri-match on Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Stark had 14 kills, six in the first match and eight in the second, to finish the day with 1,004 kills. She has been ESU's leader in kills per set for the last four seasons and has 298 kills this year, nine away from her career-high which she set as a sophomore.

The Warriors (8-23, 3-12) lost both matches in three sets, falling to Millersville 27-25, 25-22, 25-21 and Stonehill 25-23, 30-28, 25-18.

Senior middle blocker Brianne Bachman was the Warriors' top hitter against Millersville, posting 11 kills and a .455 hitting percentage with one error on 22 attacks. She also contributed three block assists and had four kills and four blocks vs. Stonehill.

Senior outside hitter Emily Detter had 13 kills on the day and recorded seven kills, seven digs and three blocks against Millersville. She hit .385 with six kills on 13 attacks against Stonehill.

Defensively, senior libero Lindsey Lullo posted 33 digs over the two matches after moving into second in school history in career digs earlier in the week. Three Warriors hit double-figures in digs vs. Millersville – Lullo (18), sophomore Katie O'Neill (14) and Stark (10).

Freshman Allye Preziosi had 30 assists vs. Millersville and 25 vs. Stonehill and a total of 10 digs. Her 743 assists are 10th on ESU's single season list.

The Warriors held their “Think Pink” event this weekend at Koehler Fieldhouse, beginning with Friday night's match against Shippensburg. The team has raised more than $2,000 for the PA Breast Cancer Coalition before including the amount generated this weekend.
