Bloomsburg Picks Up PSAC East Women’s Basketball Road Win at ESU

EAST STROUDSBURG – Dana Wieller scored 17 points to lead four players in double figures and Kelsey Gallagher had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists as Bloomsburg posted a 72-41 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East women's basketball on Thursday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Senior forward DeAnna Rayam had her third career double-double for the Warriors with 13 points and 10 rebounds and added four assists. Rayam did all of her scoring at the foul line, going 13-for-18, to give her 114 made free throws on the season - tied for 10th in school history with six games remaining. ESU's leading scorer (14.0 ppg) is also closing in on the 1,000-point mark for her career with 954 points.

Bloomsburg (14-7, 6-3) made nine three-pointers, including three each by Gallagher and Jordan Pasik (11 points). Christine Sereta added 10 points, nine rebounds and three blocks. Wieller scored her game-high 17 points off the bench, had six rebounds and shot 9-for-9 at the foul line for the Huskies, who led 21-3 at the eight-minute mark and went into halftime with a 36-17 lead.

ESU was playing its first game in eight days after two games were postponed due to snow and is back in action on Saturday at Shippensburg. The Warriors picked up their only PSAC East win of the season over the Raiders with a 58-55 victory on January 16 at Koehler Fieldhouse.
