MECHANICSBURG – Senior Christine Swiker and junior Sarah Roscioli set two more individual marks and helped the 400 free relay set the school record as East Stroudsburg University finished a record-breaking weekend at the 2010 PSAC Championships on Sunday at Cumberland Valley High School.

Roscioli broke a mark that she set last year and Swiker reached a time that had stood for 29 years during the morning prelims. The 400 free relay record of 3:40.42 was set in 2006 and was lowered by almost three seconds to 3:37.84. A total of seven school records fell over the weekend - three by Swiker, two by Roscioli, and the 400 free relay and 400 medey relay.

Swiker's time of 2:13.72 in the 200 fly broke Judy Tooher's record of 2:14.60 which was set in 1981. She also lowered her own records in the 200 IM (2:09.20) on Friday and the 400 IM (4:37.88) on Saturday. Swiker was 16th in the 200 fly final (2:15.07) and finished fifth in both of the individual medleys.

Roscioli touched in 2:30.19 in the 200 breast to nudge her mark of 2:30.42 at last year's conference championships and set her second record in as many days. She swam a time of 1:07.99 in the 100 breast in Saturday's prelims, and was 16th in the finals of the 200 breast in 2:32.08.

Swiker finished her career as the anchor of the record-setting 400 free relay that placed ninth overall. Freshmen Kimberly Lawson and Tara Robinson and Roscioli swam the first three legs of the relay, the same quartet that established the new 400 medley relay record (4:05.62) on Friday. The 200 medley and 800 free relays on Saturday both just missed the school's all-time bests. The 400 free relay team that held the previous school record was comprised of Jackie Muller, Justine Grilz, Sally Kaminski and Kimberly Jones.

Swiker will leave ESU with five school records - the 200 fly, 200 IM and 400 IM and the two relay marks. Roscioli and Karen Linck (1975-78) also have five entries on ESU's list of school records.

ESU finished 11th at the championships with 96 points, matching its finish from the last two years.
