EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University's softball and wrestling contests this weekend have been cancelled due to the major winter storm that is expected to hit the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic regions on Friday and Saturday.

Additionally, both events scheduled for Saturday have been postponed.

The ESU Swimming Invitational has been rescheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse, while a make-up date for the Warriors' basketball doubleheader vs. Kutztown will be posted as soon as it is available.

The DeSchriver Track & Field Invitational is scheduled for Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse.

The Warriors' softball team was scheduled to open its season at the UNC Pembroke Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, and will now begin the 2010 campaign at the Catawba Invitational in three weeks (February 26-28).

The wrestling program was set to make its second straight appearance at the Ashland Duals in Ashland, Ohio. Two duals remain on the 2009-10 schedule, both at home – Thursday, Feb. 11 vs. Binghamton and Tuesday, Feb. 16 vs. Kutztown.

ESU's baseball season opener was pushed back one week on Thursday with the cancellation of a three-game set at Elizabeth City State (N.C.).
