EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University won four events, including a sweep of the 100 and 200 breast by junior Sarah Roscioli, and had six second-place finishes to highlight the ESU Invitational, which was held Sunday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Roscioli posted times of 1:08.75 in the 100 and 2:35.92 in the 200, finished third in the 50 free and was a member of the second-place 200 medley relay team in a meet that also included C.W. Post, Kutztown, Millersville and Post University.

Senior Christine Swiker won the 400 IM in 4:50.32 in her final home meet and was second in the 200 IM in 2:17.35. Freshman Kimberly Lawson was the winner in the 100 fly (1:00.39) and was second in the 200 back (2:14.07). Swiker, Lawson, Roscioli and freshman Sami Vavra clocked a time of 1:52.27 in the 200 medley relay.

The 200 free relay team of freshman Tara Robinson, sophomore Lindsay DuAime, junior Cait Fallon and freshman Kathleen Bolin tied for first with Millersville with a time of 1:16.15.

Robinson was also second in the 100 free (55.46) in her only individual event and Fallon was second behind Roscioli in the 200 breast (2:43.79). Two more freshmen also finished second – Erin Kirchner in the 500 free (5:46.25) and Rose Mascoli in the 1650 free (18:55.06).

Senior Heather Van O'Linda competed in three events, finishing third in the 100 free (55.53), fourth in the 100 breast and seventh in the 50 free.

Other third-place finishers included DuAime (100 back), Vavra (100 breast), junir Amy Rowland (200 back) and freshmen Tamara Bereznay (400 IM), Tayler Ragazzone (200 breast) and Ana Osowski (100 fly).

The Warriors' next competition will come at the 2010 PSAC Championships on February 18-21 at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg. ESU will serve as the host institution for the championships as designated by the PSAC.
