Efficient Offense Leads ESU Lacrosse to 20-7 Win over Kutztown

EAST STROUDSBURG – Junior Christine Bradley had three goals and four assists and East Stroudsburg University scored on all but seven of its 27 shots in a 20-7 victory over Kutztown in PSAC East lacrosse on Tuesday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

Bradley, senior Lindsey Moyer and sophomore Kelsey Pfautz scored three goals and four other Warriors – senior Sara Foley, junior Jamie Wesztergom, sophomore Laura Riegel and freshman Ali Green – scored two goals apiece. Juniors Molly O'Hara and Morgan Knowles and sophomore Maure Perrymond also found the net.

ESU improved to 4-1 on the season and evened its PSAC East record at 1-1 going into Thursday's conference game at Millersville.

The Warriors led 14-2 at halftime, with Pfautz scoring three of ESU's first five goals, while Bradley scored all three of her goals in the last 12 minutes of the first half as part of a six-goal run.

Bradley tied her career-high with seven points and has seven goals and 10 assists this season. A two-time All-PSAC selection, Bradley had 32 goals and 19 assists a year ago.

Moyer picked up her first hat trick of the season and third of her career, and Pfautz has had her first two career hat tricks in the last two games after scoring three goals in a 17-6 win over Philadelphia University on Saturday.

ESU scored on 14 of its 20 shots in the first half, then capitalized on six of its seven shots after halftime. Kutztown had six shots in the first half and 10 in the second, with sophomore Amanda Simms (two saves) and freshman Katie Zollo (five saves) splitting time in goal.

Emily Savini and Kierstyn Mock scored two goals each for the Golden Bears, and Karly Waltman made five saves.

ESU travels to Millersville on Thursday and is back in action at Whitenight Field with a non-conference game vs. Slippery Rock at 1 p.m.
