HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The All-PSAC East doubles team of juniors Katie D'Ambrosia and Jamie Ferrigno is off to a 3-0 start and has led East Stroudsburg University to a pair of wins in its first three matches of the spring 2010 women's tennis season.

D'Ambrosia and Ferrigno are 35-18 in their career as a doubles pairing and are 9-3 overall (7-1 in duals) this season for the Warriors, who are 5-3 overall after going 3-2 in the fall.

ESU posted wins at Lenoir-Rhyne, N.C. (7-2) and vs. Tiffin (8-1) in Hilton Head, S.C. in the first two matches during its spring trip before falling 8-1 to Tusculum, with D'Ambrosia and Ferrigno picking up the only point with a 9-8 victory at first doubles.

The two juniors also won both of their singles matches in the Warriors' wins, D'Ambrosia at No. 2 and Ferrigno at No. 3, and freshman Rabecca Lausch had a pair of victories at No. 6.

ESU swept all three doubles matches in its wins as well, with sophomore Amanda Kaufman and freshman Amy McGrath teaming at No. 2 and freshman Alex Santoro and McGrath at No. 3.

Ferrigno has a career mark of 38-14 in singles and D'Ambrosia picked up her 30th career singles victory for ESU against Tiffin.

The Warriors are in Hilton Head, S.C. for three more matches, finishing their trip against Upper Iowa, Young Harris (Ga.) and IUP.
