EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University senior forward DeAnna Rayam has been named to the All-PSAC East women's basketball second team for the 2009-10 season, it was announced Tuesday by the conference office.

Rayam (Bethlehem/Freedom) was the first player to lead ESU in scoring, rebounding and assists in the same season since Claudine Simard in 1990-91, pacing the Warriors with 14.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game and posting a team-high 70 assists.

Rayam finished her career with 1,046 points, 12th in school history. She went to the foul line 196 times during her senior year, making 143, to rank second behind Simard's 1991-92 season for the most in school history. Her 349 career free throws are fifth all-time at ESU.

She hit double figures in 25 of the Warriors' 27 games this season, including the first 19 straight, and had three 20-point games and three double-doubles. Rayam scored a career-high 32 points against Kutztown on February 15 at Koehler Fieldhouse and went over the 1,000-point mark for her career with 18 points in a win at Mansfield on February 17.

Rayam played in 97 games in her career at ESU, overcoming an injury that cut her freshman season short after 16 games. She averaged 9.6 points per game as a sophomore and 10.2 as a junior before ranking 13th in the PSAC in scoring this season.

She had 434 rebounds, 216 assists and 148 steals during her four years and made 105 three-pointers, fourth-most in school history.
