Lynne Elphick has decided to step down from her position as head coach of the lacrosse program at East Stroudsburg University, Director of Athletics Dr.
Tom Gioglio has announced.
Elphick, a 2003 graduate of ESU, was head coach for five seasons and led the program to two of the three 11-win seasons in school history. The Warriors tied the school victory mark and advanced to the PSAC playoffs in both 2008 and 2010.
The team's 11-7 record in 2008 was an eight-win improvement over the previous year and earned Elphick the PSAC Coach of the Year award. The 2010 team posted an identical 11-7 record and featured attack

Elphick was a four-year player on the lacrosse team as a student-athlete at ESU and earned her degree in Communications with a minor in English. She returned to ESU after two years at Alvernia College, including one as head coach in 2005.
She posted a 34-48 record in her five seasons at ESU, the second-most wins in program history. The Warriors were 29-24 in her final three years and return 11 of their 12 starters next year, including five All-PSAC East selections.
Elphick and her husband, Chris, are the parents of a one-year old daughter, Ava, and are expecting their second child in December.
