CLARION – Bethany Naugle scored a pair of second-half goals to help Clarion to a 4-1 win over East Stroudsburg University in the PSAC women's soccer opener for both schools on Friday afternoon.
Senior forward
Lindsay Foder scored the Warriors' goal in the first half, becoming the sixth player in school history to score 20 career goals. A two-time All-PSAC East and All-Region selection, Foder has two goals in ESU's first three games and scored nine goals in 2008 and seven in 2009.
Amanda Lewis gave Clarion (1-1-1, 1-0) a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute before Foder tied the game four minutes later. The Golden Eagles quickly regained the lead on a goal by Jill Miller three minutes later, and Naugle's goals in the second half provided the final margin.

Melissa Myers had five saves for ESU (1-1-1, 0-1). Jenna Kulik made four saves on eight shots by the Warriors.
ESU will travel to Edinboro for a conference match-up on Saturday at 1 p.m.
