SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior outside hitter Alyson Stark was named to the All-Tournament team and senior middle blocker Brianne Bachman broke into the career top 10 in blocks as East Stroudsburg University split a pair of matches on the second day of this weekend's tournament at American International on Saturday.

The Warriors finished their four-match tournament with a 3-0 win over Molloy after a 3-1 loss to UMass-Lowell earlier in the day. They beat Saint Rose 3-1 and fell to American International, also 3-1, on Friday.

Stark hit double figures in kills in all four matches and had 57 kills (3.8 per set) and a .328 attack percentage for the weekend. She also contributed four aces, 29 digs and eight blocks as ESU (2-6) picked up its first two wins of the season. Stark has 84 kills and a 3.2 kills per set average through the first eight matches of her senior year.

Bachman had eight kills and five block assists vs. UMass-Lowell in ESU's first match on Saturday, giving her 166 blocks for her career and moving into the top 10 in school history. She has 18 blocks for an average of 0.7 per set so far this season.

Stark had 12 kills and tied her career-high with 17 digs vs. UMass-Lowell. ESU won the first set, 25-16, but dropped three straight close games – 25-22, 25-21 and 27-25 – to close the match.

Senior libero Lindsey Lullo had 27 digs to lead four players in double figures, along with Stark, freshman setter Allye Preziosi (13 digs, 34 assists) and senior outside hitter Emily Detter (11 digs).

Against Molloy, Stark had a team-high 10 kills and hit .348, Lullo had 10 digs and sophomore setter Kara McDowell played in all three games and had 19 assists. Freshman outside hitter Elizabeth Madden had a season-high five kills and hit .455 on 11 attacks.

ESU will host Mercy College in its home opener on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in preparation for next weekend's PSAC Crossover presented by State Farm, which begins on Friday at 12 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse.
