EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior forward
Jessica Frantz had her second hat trick of the season to help No. 5 East Stroudsburg University improve to 3-0 with a 4-0 win over No. 10 Adelphi in non-conference field hockey on Sunday afternoon at Whitenight Field.
Frantz has eight of the Warriors' 12 goals during their 3-0 start and was the reigning PSAC East Player of the Week after scoring five goals, including a hat trick vs. Merrimack, in two games last week. She has scored 40 goals in her collegiate career, 22 in 24 career games for the Warriors and 18 in her first two seasons at IUP.
She scored 2:05 into the game off a penalty corner, assisted by senior forward
Brittany Kocis, for the only scoring of the first half before the Warriors broke the game open with three second-half goals.

Mallory Pope led Frantz with a long pass out of the midfield for her second goal six minutes into the second half. Senior midfielder
Kayla Cilenti scored off a penalty corner taken by Kocis six minutes later, and Frantz scored unassisted, cleaning up her own rebound, after another six minutes elapsed to give the Warriors their 4-0 lead.

Jennifer Mullen played the final 4:30 in goal for ESU.
Kristine Puzio (three saves, three goals against) and Lucia Vigliotti (two saves, one goal) shared time in goal for Adelphi (0-3), which lost 3-1 at No. 1 Bloomsburg on Saturday and dropped its season opener, 2-1, to unranked Seton Hill.
ESU continues its four-game homestand with two games this week, hosting Mansfield on Wednesday at 4 p.m. and IUP on Saturday at 2 p.m. in non-conference action.
