Lindsey Lullo had a career-high seven aces and sophomore outside hitter
Kristina Perri tied her career-best with seven kills as East Stroudsburg University defeated Mercy College, 3-0, in non-conference women's volleyball on Wednesday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.
Lullo, eighth in Division II in digs per set last year, had just four digs in the match but fired seven of the Warriors' 10 aces and didn't commit a service error. ESU (3-6) had just two service errors as a team and won by scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-22.
Perri had seven kills and one attack error for a .261 hitting percentage and also contributed three block assists. Senior outside hitter
Alyson Stark had seven kills and freshman middle blocker
Ashley Lesniak had four kills on six attacks along with three block assists.
Sophomore
Kara McDowell (17 assists) and freshman
Allye Preziosi (14 assists) combined to set up the Warriors' attack, which committed only 12 hitting errors in the match.
ESU will host PSAC crossover action this weekend at Koehler Fieldhouse, presented by State Farm. The schedule features four matches on Friday and Saturday, with the Warriors playing at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The first match on Friday gets underway at 12 p.m. when IUP faces Shippensburg.
