WEST CHESTER – No. 4-ranked West Chester scored twice in the first 16 minutes and earned a weather-abbreviated 3-0 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC women's soccer on Wednesday afternoon.
The Golden Rams scored all three of their goals in the first half, netting their final goal with 58 seconds on the clock in the opening period. The game was suspended and eventually terminated by the officials with 17:09 remaining in the contest after lightning was detected in the area.
Melissa McKeary opened the scoring in the 12th minute and assisted on Sarah Oswald's goal in the 16th minute to help West Chester improve to 7-0 (5-0 PSAC). Kim Shoup added the third goal just before halftime.
Lyndsie Bernardini had four saves on five ESU shots as the Golden Rams remained unscored upon through their first seven matches.

Melissa Myers made six saves in goal for the Warriors (2-4-1, 1-4).
ESU is back on the field on Saturday with a 7:30 match-up against Millersville at Eiler-Martin Stadium, the final game of a tripleheader that includes football vs. West Chester (1 p.m.) and men's soccer vs. Millersville (5:30 p.m.).
