SHIPPENSBURG – Seniors Brianne Bachman and Alyson Stark led East Stroudsburg University to a 3-2 win over Shippensburg in PSAC volleyball action to highlight the weekend for the Warriors, who also played at Millersville on Friday and took on Point Park on Saturday at Shippensburg.

Bachman had 10 kills and hit .333, Stark had 12 kills, and sophomore Kaitlin Behrens had eight kills to lead the attack in the win over the Raiders by scores of 25-19, 16-25, 25-18, 13-25, 15-11. Freshman Ashley Lesniak also contributed seven kills and three block assists.

Defensively, four players hit double figures in kills, led by 21 from senior libero Lindsey Lullo. Freshman Heather Norris had a career-high with 18, followed by 13 by freshman setter Allye Preziosi and 12 by sophomore Katie O'Neill. Preziosi had 37 assists, one off her career best.

The Warriors began the weekend with a 3-0 loss at Millersville despite 14 kills from Stark. Preziosi had 31 assists and Lullo (14) and Norris (11) were the team leaders in digs. The Marauders picked up their first PSAC win of the year with a 25-16, 25-19, 25-23 victory.

Point Park, one of the top NAIA programs in the region, improved to 9-4 with its win over ESU on Saturday after the Warriors knocked off Shippensburg. Lullo had 15 digs to lead the defensive effort, but ESU had more attack errors than kills in the contest.

Stark had 30 kills for the weekend and 10 kills in a 3-0 win over Philadelphia University earlier in the week after being named the PSAC East Player of the Week on Sept. 21.

Bachman had 17 total kills, Preziosi handed out 76 assists and Lullo paced the defense with 50 digs.

The Warriors travel to Lock Haven for PSAC action on Tuesday before hosting the ESU State Farm Classic next Friday and Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.
