Lennon Leads Golden Rams to PSAC East Win over ESU

WEST CHESTER – Alex Lennon had 17 points and nine rebounds and was 8-for-8 from the field to lead West Chester to a 65-34 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East women's basketball on Saturday afternoon at Hollinger Fieldhouse.

Lennon also added three steals and five blocks to help West Chester improve to 11-3 (2-0 PSAC East). Ambreelinne Ortman scored nine points, Jillian Keefer had eight and Allison Hostetter posted seven points and seven rebounds for the Golden Rams.

Sophomore forward Mia Waring had 10 points and seven rebounds off the bench for ESU, which shot 23.2 percent from the floor. Freshman guard Andrea Veres had eight points and hit two of the Warriors' three three-pointers.

West Chester shot 53.8 percent in the second half to gain separation from a 33-21 halftime lead. Lennon had seven points, an assist, a block and a steal in a 15-3 run in the first 7:20 of the second half.

ESU (4-10, 1-1) won its PSAC East opener vs. Cheyney, 64-50, on Wednesday and heads to Mansfield on Wednesday for the second of three straight road games.
