EAST STROUDSBURG – Freshman Andrea Tremper had a season-best time in the 100 free and was one of four individual winners for East Stroudsburg University in a 120-85 loss to Bloomsburg in swimming dual action on Friday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Tremper outtouched Bloomsburg's Brittany McNeil by two-hundredths of a second to win the 100 free with a time of 56.45. Tremper was also fourth in the 50 free and swam on the second-place 200 free relay team.

Senior Sarah Roscioli won the 50 free in 25.75 seconds, sophomore Kimberly Lawson took the 100 fly in 1:01.55 and sophomore Sami Vavra won the 100 back in 1:02.67. Vavra, Roscioli, Lawson and senior Amy Rowland won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:48.58.

Sophomore Tara Robinson was second in the 50 free in 26.01 as the Warriors took the top two spots. Other second-place finishes came from Roscioli (100 breast), Lawson (200 free) and freshman Allison Schafer (400 IM). Vavra was third in the 100 breast and sophomore Chelsea Witherup placed third in the 1000 free.

Graduate student Sarah Scotchlas, Rowland and Robinson joined Tremper on the 200 free relay that was second in 1:43.23.

Bloomsburg's Bridget Hilferty was the only double-winner in the meet, taking first in the 200 free and 500 free. Rachel Nauman won the 1000 free, Madeline Barlow won the 400 IM and McNeil edged Roscioli in the 100 breast.

ESU hosts Millersville in a dual next Saturday at 1 p.m. at Koehler Fieldhouse and will hold its annual invitational the following Saturday, February 5. The PSAC Championships are four weeks away at Cumberland Valley High School.
