EAST STROUDSBURG – Sophomore forward Kerri McClay scored 1:16 into the second half to give East Stroudsburg University a 1-0 win over Mansfield in PSAC women's soccer to finish a football-soccer tripleheader on Saturday night at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

McClay's goal, her team-leading fourth of the season and the seventh of her career, was assisted by redshirt sophomore back Carly Collins and gave the Warriors (5-8-1, 2-8-1) their first victory of the day after a pair of near-misses.

The Warriors' football team fell 34-30 to C.W. Post in the first game of the day, highlighted by head coach Denny Douds tying the Division II record with his 393rd game and redshirt senior quarterback Ray Wagner becoming the first quarterback in PSAC history to throw for 500 yards in consecutive games.

The men's soccer team started a doubleheader for head coach Rob Berkowitz with a 1-1 tie vs. UDC. The Warriors took a 1-0 lead in the first half, but UDC scored the game-tying goal with 56 seconds left in regulation and neither team scored in overtime.

The final game of the night was scoreless through the first half despite ESU's 11-2 advantage in shots, but McClay changed the scoreline shortly into the second. The Warriors also compiled an 11-2 edge in the second half for a 22-4 lead in shots for the game.

Sophomores Nicki Keiser and Brittain Wagner both played a half in goal and made one save each for ESU. Alexis Wilhelm had 12 saves for Mansfield (1-11, 0-10).

ESU will host Shippensburg on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the second game of a four-game homestand. The Warriors have four games remaining this season and finish the year at Bloomsburg on Saturday, Oct. 29.
