EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University women's volleyball program returned from a 10-day layoff by hosting West Chester in its “Pretty in Pink” event on Friday night at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Junior outside hitter Kaitlin Behrens had seven kills and two aces to lead the Warriors, who fell in three sets, 25-20, 25-19, 25-17 in their first action since a close three-set loss to defending PSAC East champion Lock Haven on Oct. 18.

Freshmen Alexandra Williams and Abby Welch added five and four kills, respectively, and sophomore Allye Preziosi had 17 assists, three kills, five digs and three blocks. Freshman libero Haley Mork had a team-high 10 digs.

Sandra Cray of the PA Breast Cancer Coalition addressed both teams and the crowd prior to the match. The Warriors will make a donation of this weekend's proceeds to the coalition for their fight for breast cancer awareness.

The Warriors are back on the floor on Saturday afternoon when they host Kutztown at 2 p.m.
