LOCK HAVEN – East Stroudsburg University finished the cross country regular season at the Lock Haven River Run on Sunday in Clinton County.
The Warriors' women's team was third of four schools, trailing Shippensburg and Lock Haven and placing ahead of IUP, with each school's regional contenders sitting out the week before the NCAA Atlantic Regional. ESU had four men's runners compete and did not factor in the team scoring.
Senior
Lisa Lower, the PSAC Champion Scholar as the female student-athlete with the highest GPA at last week's PSAC Championships, was the Warriors' No. 3 finisher by placing 17th overall. Junior
Cassandra Lacorazza was eighth and junior
Emily Haws was 13th.
Four freshmen competed for the men's team, which was led by
Ryan Gormley (12th) and
Shane Bissonnette (16th).
The Atlantic Regional will be contested next Saturday at Slippery Rock.
