EAST STROUDSBURG – Senior back Lucrezia Manzione scored on a penalty corner 5:32 into the second overtime to give No. 10-ranked East Stroudsburg University its first PSAC East win of the season with a 2-1 victory over No. 6 Millersville on Wednesday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

Manzione's goal, the second of her career, ended the Warriors' first double-overtime game since 2008 and capped a comeback from a 1-0 deficit when Millersville's Ashley Weber scored just 4:43 into the contest.

The Warriors tied the game at 1-1 midway through the second period when freshman forward Jessica Lawville scored on a penalty corner with the assists coming from senior midfielder Amanda McGuire and junior midfielder Mallory Pope.

McGuire and Pope also assisted on Manzione's game-winning goal, which came after ESU played 7-on-6 for five minutes – the last minute of the first overtime and first four minutes of the second – due to a yellow card. Millersville had the best scoring chance in the first overtime period when Emily Manwiller hit the post just over two minutes into the period.

Senior goalkeeper Maureen Ordnung made 13 saves for ESU (6-7, 1-4), which finished the first half of PSAC East play with a much-needed win going into Friday's 2 p.m. start against No. 7 C.W. Post. The Warriors won their fourth straight game after sweeping three non-conference games over the weekend.

Millersville (7-5, 1-4) held a 20-17 advantage in shots and ESU had a 16-9 margin in penalty corners. The Warriors had five corners to the Marauders' one in the first overtime, while Millersville was unable to convert on its two corners in the second overtime before Manzione found the cage for the game-winner. Sarah Dickinson made seven saves for Millersville.

The Warriors' last double-overtime game was a 2-1 victory at Stonehill in 2008 decided on a goal by Kierstyn DeNardo with 7:37 remaining.
