EAST STROUDSBURG – No. 7-ranked C.W. Post scored twice in the final 17 minutes to come away with a 3-2 win over upset-minded No. 10 East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East field hockey on Friday afternoon at Whitenight Field.

Sophomore forward Gabrielle Seibert and senior midfielder Amanda McGuire scored in a five-minute stretch late in the first half for the Warriors (6-8, 1-5), who were looking for their fifth straight win and a chance to get back into the PSAC East playoff race.

ESU held advantages of 15-8 in shots and 9-3 in penalty corners in the first half, but the Pioneers posted advantages of 13-2 and 5-1 in the second half for a total edge of 21-17 in the shot department for the afternoon.

Carlee Dragon, the nation's leading scorer, had her 16th goal of the season 11:30 into the game for C.W. Post, but ESU tied it on Seibert's third goal of the season with 8:22 left in the first half and went ahead 2-1 on McGuire's fourth goal with 5:21 on the board.

Ashley Oracewski found the tying goal for C.W. Post (8-4, 3-3) at the 18-minute mark of the second half and Helene Bruckner scored on an assist from Dragon with 8:09 left.

Senior goalkeeper Maureen Ordnung had 14 saves for the Warriors, the fifth time she has been called on to make double-digit saves this season. She had a career-high 21 saves in a 2-1 (OT) loss at C.W. Post on Sept. 13 and entered the week ranked fourth in Division II with 7.8 saves per game.

Devon Trenkle had 10 saves for C.W. Post, which won the season series against ESU for the first time since joining the PSAC as an associate member in field hockey in 2008. The Warriors own the all-time series, 18-5-1.

ESU finishes a six-game homestand on Tuesday with a 4 p.m. game against Kutztown. The Warriors have four games remaining, all against PSAC Eastern division foes.
