Sharbaugh’s Goal Gives Gannon 1-0 Win over ESU Women’s Soccer

ERIE – Amanda Sharbaugh scored her Division II-leading 14th goal of the season in the 39th minute to give Gannon a 1-0 win over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC East women's soccer on Saturday afternoon in northwestern Pennsylvania.

Sophomores Nicki Keiser and Brittain Wagner both played a half in goal and made four saves each for the Warriors (4-7-1, 1-7-1), who were outshot 18-8 in the contest.

Gannon improves to 6-3-3 (4-3-3) led by Sharbaugh, who has scored all but five of the Golden Knights' 19 goals this season. ESU falls to 0-7-1 in its last eight games after a 3-0 start, including a 2-0 win over Clarion in its PSAC opener.

The Warriors are back in action on Tuesday with a trip to Kutztown for a 3 p.m. start.
