KUTZTOWN – Junior Kimberly Lawson won three individual events and two relays as East Stroudsburg University finished second in the five-team Golden Bear Invitational at Kutztown on Friday and Saturday.

Lawson swam career-best times to win the 200 IM (2:14.93) and 200 fly (2:14.67), won the 100 fly in 1:01.30 and was part of both of the Warriors' winning relay teams – the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. She led a 1-3-4 finish for the Warriors in the 200 IM.

Sophomore Andrea Tremper and freshman Karoline Vavra also swam on both winning relays, and were joined by junior Sami Vavra in the 200 medley and freshman Danielle Davis in the 400 free. The Warriors posted times of 1:56.30 in the 200 medley and 3:44.07 in the 400 free.

Karoline Vavra, Sami Vavra and sophomore Allison Schafer also won individual events. Karoline Vavra won the 100 free in a season-best 54.87 and was third in the 200 free (2:02.88). Sami Vavra won the 100 breast in 1:10.87 and was third in the 200 IM (2:19.38) and 200 breast (2:38.23), and Schafer won the 400 IM in 4:55.58 and was third I the 500 free (5:31.09).

Freshman Shelby Stalnaker was second in the 100 back in 1:06.13 and Tremper placed third in the 100 free (56.29) and fourth in the 50 free (25.67). Freshman Mara Palazzari was fourth in the 200 IM (2:24.88) and 100 fly (1:03.74), freshman Melissa Smith placed fifth in the 500 free and juniors Kathleen Bolin (200 back) and Ana Osowski (100 fly) also had top-six placements.
