EAST STROUDSBURG – Freshman forward Jessica Martin had 18 points and 12 rebounds to earn Tournament MVP honors and led East Stroudsburg University to a 75-60 win over Concordia (N.Y.) on the second day of the 47th Annual Pocono Classic on Sunday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Martin was joined on the All-Tournament team by ESU sophomore guard Andrea Veres, who had 11 of her 18 points in the final six minutes of a 66-62 win over Georgian Court in the Warriors' opener on Saturday and was 3-for-5 from the three-point line for nine points, all in the first half, on Sunday.

Concordia guard Krystina Agard had 21 points and eight rebounds to earn All-Tournament status. The rest of the team included Martha Nagbe and Cortney Clark from Notre Dame (Ohio), which also went 2-0, and Ebony Sellers of Georgian Court.

The Warriors (2-2) went on a 15-0 run after Concordia scored the first bucket of the game to pull away early in posting their second win of the weekend. Junior forward Fayola Moise, a transfer from Tusculum (Tenn.), had 15 points and eight rebounds – nine points and five boards in the first half – and had a three-point play and another bucket during the run.

The Warriors led by double-figures the rest of the way, getting three-pointers from Veres and senior guard Cyara Woodridge in a two-minute stretch after Concordia cut the deficit to 10. Senior guard Jennifer Scherer also hit back-to-back three's to push ESU's lead to 36-20 late in the first half and the Warriors held a 41-23 advantage at halftime.

ESU shot 50.8 percent (31-61) for the game and was 16-for-32 in the first half overall, 7-for-13 from the three-point line. Veres, Woodridge and Scherer all hit multiple three-pointers and ESU had 26 assists on its 31 field goals.

Martin was 8-for-12 from the field, 2-for-3 from the foul line and had three assists, two steals and two blocks as part of her first career double-double. She had 10 points, five rebounds and three blocks and shot 5-for-8 from the floor in Saturday's win over Georgian Court.

Moise had her 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting, freshman forward Kelsey Murray had 10 for her first career game in double-figures, Veres had nine, Woodridge eight and freshman guard Ryann Fiascki seven. Four Warriors had four assists in Veres, Woodridge, Scherer and redshirt freshman guard Steph Cabald.

Agard led Concordia (1-5) with 21 points and Tara Ann Rock had 12, going 3-for-6 from the three-point line. The Clippers shot just 25.9 percent in the first half and finished at 32.2 percent for the game, playing without forward Chanessa Blakemore, who had 12 points and 22 rebounds in a 72-61 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday.

Notre Dame posted a 70-54 win over Georgian Court in the first game on Sunday. Nagbe had 18 points, five rebounds and four assists and Clark added 12 points, five rebounds, three assists and four blocks. Sellers and Tahira Matthews had 12 points for Georgian Court. (Box Score)
