EAST STROUDSBURG – Sophomores Kimberly Lawson, Tara Robinson and Sami Vavra and freshman Allison Schafer all won events as the Warriors hosted C.W. Post and Mansfield at the annual ESU Invitational on Saturday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

Robinson swam season bests in the 100 free, winning in 54.69 seconds, and 50 free, where she was second in 25.21. Freshman Andrea Tremper also had season best times in both events and was second in the 100 free (55.01) and third in the 50 free (25.28). Robinson also placed third in the 100 fly in 1:02.29.

Lawson won the 500 free in 5:35.69 and was second in the 100 back in 1:03.15. Vavra won the 100 back in 1:00.95, also a season best, and was fourth in the 100 free in 56.14. Schafer took the 1000 free in 11:31.62 and placed third in the 200 back in 2:21.01.

Graduate student Sarah Scotchlas set season bests in the 200 breast, where she was second in 2:36.74, and 100 breast, placing third in 1:12.89. Senior Sarah Roscioli changed places with Scotchlas in both events, finishing second in the 100 in 1:12.40 and third in the 200 in 2:36.82.

Three other Warriors also finished second in their events – sophomore Tami Bereznay in the 200 IM (2:34.80), sophomore Chelsea Witherup in the 500 free (5:39.98) and freshman Katie McKee in the 200 back (2:18.34).

ESU was third in both relays, with McKee, Roscioli, Lawson and Vavra finishing in 1:55.35 in the 200 medley relay and Tremper, freshman Cassie Baun, Witherup and freshman Lauren Kammerer recording a time of 1:50.06 in the 200 free.

The Warriors will be away from action next weekend and travel to Mechanicsburg for the PSAC Championships which will be held at Cumberland Valley High School on February 17-20.
