KUTZTOWN – Seniors
Christine Bradley and
Michelle Mangiaruga both scored three goals, including two goals each during a 10-0 run in a 30-minute stretch in the middle of the game, as East Stroudsburg University posted a 14-6 win at Kutztown in PSAC lacrosse on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors (3-3, 1-1) kept Kutztown (3-2, 0-2) off the board for nearly 40 minutes after the Golden Bears took a 3-2 lead in the first 12 minutes of the contest to earn their first PSAC win of the season.
Meanwhile, Bradley and Mangiaruga led an attack that had nine players find the back of the net. Senior

Molly O'Hara had a goal and two assists and junior
Laura Riegel, sophomores
Sarah Ginn and
Ali Green and freshmen
Nicole Miller and
Sarah Studdiford also scored for ESU.
Wesztergom started the 10-0 run with 14:49 left in the first half, tying the game at 3-3 and jumpstarting a surge that would see the Warriors take a 12-3 lead with 15 minutes left in the second half. O'Hara, Studdiford and Bradley scored ESU's last three goals of the first half to take a 6-3 lead, and Mangiaruga scored two of the Warriors' first six goals of the second half. Wesztergom, Bradley, Green and Ginn also tallied as seven players accounted for the 10 goals during the stretch.
Defensively, junior goalkeeper
Amanda Simms made her first start of the season and had two saves in the first half. Sophomore
Katie Zollo played 19:26 in the second half and made two saves, and freshman
Ashley Gruning saw her first career action and made four saves in 10:34.

Brittany Bissell and sophomore
Kimberly Daly comprised the starting defensive unit and the defensive midfielders, including Riegel and Wesztergom, also contributed to the effort that held Kutztown to seven first-half shots and 19 in the game. ESU had 35 shots and Joann McLaughlin made 12 saves for the Golden Bears.
O'Hara scored her 140th career goal, moving into a tie with Ann Clifton (1983-86) for the second-most in school history. She also moved into fifth with 171 career points and has 18 goals and five assists for a team-high 23 points this season.
ESU is off until a 4 p.m. match-up against defending PSAC champion Lock Haven on Friday at 4 p.m. at Whitenight Field. The Warriors host IUP the following day at 1 p.m.
