PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia University improved to 8-4 on the season with a 9-0 win over East Stroudsburg University in non-conference men's tennis on Sunday afternoon.

Adri Torroella-Cruz won at first singles and first doubles and Kyle Burke won a 7-6, 6-1 decision over ESU junior Jared Rosenberg at second singles for the Rams. The No. 6 singles match was the most competitive of the day with Seppi Hutter outlasting junior Dalton Barton for a 6-4, 7-5 victory.

Philadelphia U won 8-2 at first doubles, 8-5 at second doubles and 8-1 at third doubles.

ESU is back in action on Thursday with a 3 p.m. match at Caldwell.
