PHILADELPHIA – Senior Jamie Ferrigno won her 50th career singles match at East Stroudsburg University, but Holy Family won both of the singles matches that went to three sets to pull out a 6-3 win over the Warriors in non-conference women's tennis on Saturday.

Ferrigno posted a 6-2, 6-1 win over Maja Pantelic at No. 3 singles to improve to 50-20 in her career at ESU. Senior Katie D'Ambrosia added a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles for her 44th career victory. Ferrigno has 55 career doubles wins, including a 51-25 record with D'Ambrosia.

Holy Family won two of the three doubles matches and four of the six singles matches to improve to 10-3 on the season.

Juliana Victoria and Jin Querubin earned an 8-6 win over D'Ambrosia and Ferrigno at No. 1 doubles, a rematch of Victoria and Querubin's 8-4 win last season. At No. 2, ESU's tandem of junior Amanda Kaufman and sophomore Rabecca Lausch earned a 9-7 win, while Holy Family took an 8-3 victory at No. 3.

The Warriors picked up singles wins from D'Ambrosia and Ferrigno, but Holy Family posted a pair of tight victories at No. 1 and No. 4. At the first spot, Victoria held off Kaufman by a 7-6, 6-7, 6-2 score, and Steicy Castro had a 6-3, 6-7, 6-4 win over Lausch at No. 4. Holy Family also won both matches at the bottom of the singles lineup.

ESU is 3-3 in non-conference action this season and has three PSAC East matches on the docket next week. The Warriors are at West Chester on Tuesday, host Kutztown on Friday and head to Millersville on Saturday as they open conference play.
