BLOOMSBURG – Katie D'Ambrosia finished her senior year with a perfect 5-0 singles record in PSAC East play but was the only Warrior to record a win as Bloomsburg remained unbeaten against conference foes with an 8-1 victory over East Stroudsburg University on Sunday afternoon.

D'Ambrosia, a two-time All-PSAC East selection in singles, earned her 49th career victory with a 2-6, 6-4, 10-6 win over Emily Palko at the No. 2 spot. She improved to 9-3 on the season and 7-1 in dual action and posted wins over all five conference opponents she took the court against this spring. She did not see singles action against Cheyney on Saturday.

The first two doubles flights were extremely competitive, with D'Ambrosia and senior Jamie Ferrigno taking an 8-6 loss to Michelle Perez and Emily Palko at No. 1 and junior Amanda Kaufman and sophomore Rabecca Lausch falling 9-7 to Danielle Walsh and Kristi Twardziak at No. 2. Both doubles pairings were 4-2 in the conference this season.

Bloomsburg improved to 11-3 overall and 5-0 against the PSAC East with a conference match remaining against Kutztown this week.

ESU secured a PSAC playoff spot with wins over Shippensburg and Cheyney on Saturday and finishes its conference schedule with a 4-2 record. The top three programs in the seven-team PSAC East make the conference tournament.

The Warriors will be back at Bloomsburg next weekend for the Huskies' spring dual tournament.
